Radar is competitive intelligence without the 2am stalking session. Pick up to 5 Instagram accounts in your niche (the ones you’d study anyway), and the app watches them for you: daily sync, same engine that tracks your own account. When one of their posts pops off, it shows up in your feed here. Not their average posts. Just the breakouts.

Adding accounts

Type a handle or paste a profile URL into the Watch box. The first sync runs immediately (give it ~30 seconds, Apify is physically going there), and after that the daily sync keeps everything fresh. Five accounts max. This is a watchlist, not a follow list. Pick accounts that are a step or two ahead of you in your exact lane, because their outliers are previews of what your audience wants next. Remove anyone anytime with the ✕ on their chip. They will never know. Public data only, same rules as your own metrics.

The outlier feed

Each row is a post from one of your watched accounts that ran at 1.5x or more of that account’s own median engagement in the last 60 days, sorted by how hard it overperformed. Important detail: the bar is their median, not raw likes. A 50k-follower account going 3x is a stronger signal than a 2M account having a normal Tuesday. For every breakout post you get three moves:
  • Save as idea: drops a card into your Content Tracker’s Ideation column with the inspiration noted in the seed (who, when, how hard it hit, and the link). From there the ghostwriter can draft it in your voice.
  • Import transcript (reels only): pulls the spoken transcript into your Library so you can study the actual hook structure and pacing, not just vibe at the thumbnail.
  • Open: watch it on Instagram like a normal person.

The rules of stealing

Save the mechanic, not the content. “POV format with a contrarian caption hook went 4x in my niche” is intelligence. Re-shooting their video shot for shot is plagiarism with extra steps. Radar gives you the pattern; your seeds, your voice, and your ghostwriter give it your angle.

Caveats

  • Private accounts can’t be watched. Apify can’t see through walls.
  • An account needs at least 5 recent posts with engagement before outlier math kicks in, so a fresh add with a sparse feed may show nothing at first.
  • Watched accounts sync once a day. A post that explodes at lunch shows up tomorrow, not in real time. It’ll still be relevant, breathe.
